Both the bride and groom are
graduates of Arlington High
School The groom was just re-
cently discharged from the U. S.
Navy after completing four years
service, part of which time was
spent aboard the U. S. S. Kitty-
hawk. The couple will reside in
Dallas, where the groom is pres-
ently employed.

Methodist WSCS had a general
meeting of the three Circles
Monday night at the church. Mrs.
Iva Hooker was leader and gave
the program. “A New Purpose
for a New Age." Mrs. Stella
Davidson gave the opening pray-
er, after which Mrs. Britt Lassi-
ter read the scripture from Ephe-
sians 1:4-10.
Mrs. John Streun gave an in-
formative talk on the Methodist
phychiatric center in Lucknow,
India, which was founded in 1950
by E. Stanley Jones. Mrs. Hook-
er told of the work in North
Carolina of the church in cloth-
ing and feeding the poverty
stricken people in that area, en-
abling children to attend school,
as two examples of the modern
outreach of the church. The
group repeated anew the com-
mitment lo the work of the So-
ciety in this new age. After a
song. Miss. Jodie Craddock led
the benediction.
