David Scaif, who has been home
for the past thirty days visiting his
mother, Mrs. Dessie Scaif, return-
ed to Ft. Bliss, El Paso, on Monday.
Miss Maurene Murphy is visit-
ing in the home of her aunt, Mrs.
Will Lokey of Mt. Pleasant, and
other relatives in Pittsburg, Mt.
Vernon, Winfield and Cuthand.
Miss Onis Cogbill of Beaumont
visited Miss Ruby Wright part of
last week.
James Lester Hannah of Paris,
visited his parents, Mr. and Mrs.
J. H. Hannah, Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Edward Lassiter
moved their furniture Friday to the
home of Mr. and Mrs. L. L. Stevens,
where they have it stored until
September, when they will move
in. Mr. and Mrs. Stevens will move
to the Kerbow farm about a mile
west of town.
Mr. and Mrs. Bob King returned
home Sunday from a week’s visit
with relatives in Memphis and
Sweetwater. They also visited her
aunt, Mrs. Bob Williams of Amar-
illo and Mr. and Mrs. F. S. Simp-
son of Stamford. They were ac-
companied home by their grand-
children, Bobby and Patsy King
pf Sweetwater.
Mrs. J. L. Bagley is having her
store building remodeled. She is
opening a dry goods store and ex-
pects to have the opening on Sat-
urday, July 20.
Mr. and Mrs. Love Fisher of Dal-
las, visited in the home of his par-
ents, Mr. and Mrs. R. B. Fisher,
Sunday.
Mrs. R. B. Fisher visited in the
home of Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Roberts

A new book on the method of
class piano which is being placed
in the public schools of Texas has
recently been written and publish-
ed by Miss Edythe DeWitt of De-
troit. The method is a course of
five grades, arranged in separate
books, and will be taught in grades
from third to eighth.

of Hereford, who have been visit-
ing Deport relatives, left early
Thursday for Havana, Cuba, where
Mr. Thompson will attend the Lions
International convention. They ex-
pect to motor as far as Key West,
Fla., and make the rest of the trip
by steamer.
Mrs. Thompson is the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Argo of De-
port.
