A group of Waltqn Park women
studied the plans Friday of Ed
Daniel which had previously been
approved by the City Council.
Mayor Jerry McGuire an-
nounced at the last council
meeting that the plans would be
adopted subject to approval by
the area’s residents.
Daniel’s design calls for the
planting of live oak trees, burr
oaks, Arizona cypresses, pinon
pines and southern red oaks for
the the city reservoir and rec-
reation area. The trees, he -said,
are flourishing in the Odessa
area and would provide not only
shade, but a variety of colors
both in the fall and summer.
He also recommended certain
types of shrubbery and flowers.
Women inspecting the plans
included Mrs. Ken Burrows, Mrs.
Don Tracy, Mrs. Walter Ander-
son, Mrs. E. E. Spangler, Mrs.
W. H. McClure, Mrs. G. T. Gill-
