such a rapid disappearance? Have the
men lost respect of tho ladles or have the
ladies lost their own self-respect to a cer-
tain degree?
We are thinking that the fault is a mu-
tual one. Why not rcstoro the old time
chivalry. Say fellows when ou leave your
classes let the ladles go first and don't
collide with them in a desperate effort to
escape what some fellows seem to think
is sure death or something worse. There
arc many instances of our neglect along
this line. Watch for them.
And girls make the fellows feel proud
of you and make them want to be nice to
von through lefincincul gentleness and
modesty.

Say old timers didn't that pep spirit
which was generated on the return of the

of tin old Junior College d.i)s. of A C.C.?
We used to have that stuff iver) where wc
went anil now we have it again. That is
the spirit and just keep it up throughout

Come to think of il A. C. C. should

On the evening of November the 12th
there were a great man) excited whisper-
ings and knowing looks passed between
some of the Dais) Hall girls. M)6terious
tilings happened. Miss Hazel Collier re-
ceived a package at dinner containing a
birthday cake and when she returned
from tho Society meeting it had disap
peared entirely. After demanding each
girl on the third floor to give up her
cake Hazel was invited into room No. 11
and there a bountiful feast was spread.
'Hie cake was decorated with the correct
number of candles. Besides the cake
there were sandwiches fruits nuts and
hoi chocolate. The cutting of the cake
which determined the destinies of two of
ihe guests was an amusing affair. Mary
Itoacli got the thimble proving that she
marries first while Lois Kelly received
the hullon hence she is to bo an old
maid. The feast was gieatly cnjo)ed by
all and each girl wished that Hazel would
