JOY schedules forum
A forum for women transfer
students is scheduled for 4:30
p.m. Nov. 28 in the Living Room
of the Campus Center. All
transfers from last spring or this
fall are invited to attend.
The forum will be sponsored by
JOY a " women's service
organization. The main emphasis
of the meeting will be to discuss
problems women transfer
students are having at ACU
according to Sara Brockman
chairman of JOY.
Winnie Gibbs associate dean of
students) will be at the meeting
Brockman said. Garvin
Beauchamp vice president for
student personnel affairs and
Clint Howeth director of ad-
missions also may be present
she said.
"We just want to talk with the
girls and find out how we can help
them" Brockman explained.
Because transfer students
sometimes have difficulties in
adjusting to a new school she
said JOY is interested in
establishing a regular program
to help the students. More in-
formation concerning the
program will be available at the
forum.
