Culp said he "studied his brains
out" when he was a freshman but
lias learned over the years to know
what teachers expect and live up to
their expectations.
He said if the choice between
sleep and studying had to be made
he chose sleep because he docs
"better if his mind is fresh."
Fullerton admits he "tries only as
hard as he wants" and "puts no big
pressure on himself" but his goal
is to have a grade point average of

She said she enjoys studying
most of the time but if she happen
cd not to enjoy the subject she
would "get it over with as soon as
possible." Also she said her dad
was a good example for her because
he was a good student.
Fullerton said his parents "never
put regulations" on his studying
but they praised him and his two
brothers when they did well in
school.
Austin's mother is a school
teacher who made her daughter do
her homework before she could
play.

Once an applicant has been
recruited the next step is to consider
placement. Baggett said the corpora-
tion analyzes its needs in relation to
the apparent abilities of the applicant
to find the best position possible.
The applicant's preference is the last
consideration the corporation makes.
However Texas Eastern has a policy
of rotation which provides employees
with variety and a chance to advance
within the company said Baggett.
Baggett also spoke about possible

know what the teacher wants and
then study accordingly.
Austin said one of the most im-
portant things to do is to be in class
and take notes. Study a little at a
time so you don't have to cram for

Bennett sets aside a few hours
every night but fills holes in her
days by studying so she will have
less to do at night. '

Baggett also discussed the social
aspects of being an accountant. These
included the development of relation-
ships through political and community
volunteer groups within the
corporation.
Golf tennis and other social sports
are a good way to feel a part of the
company Baggett said.
He encouraged students by telling
them about the success of Mike Con-

president of Texas Eastern Transmis-

ofACU.
Conaway began with a drive to excel
and within 10 years he became vice

The Faculty Senate voted Friday to
approve a change in its constitution.
Senate Chairman Dr. Bennett Hut-
chinton professor of chemistry said
one of the approved additions is a
clause that allows faculty members to
elect their representatives by mall.
Because this change will allow more
faculty members to vote the senate
will represent a broader cross section
of the faculty he said.
Another clause was added giving of-
ficial representation to the Bible
department.
