at the Taylor County Fairgrounds.
This year the Fair features concerts by Reba Mclntyre the

While the Fair promotes plenty of carnival-type rides and
displays for many people the rodeo is the main attraction.
The rodeo began Tuesday and will continue through Saturday
night in the Taylor County Coliseum. Tuesday night the
rodeo will feature the crowning of the West Texas Queen and
King said Gail McMillan guaranteer for the fairgrounds.
The truck and tractor pull which McMillan said attracts
people from all around the Abilene area took place Friday and
Saturday.
Many people enjoy the livestock displays McMillan said.
Farmers from Taylor County and surrounding counties enter
all types of livestock for judging she said.
Various types of food from Mexican food to funnel cakes can
be found at the Fair food booths. Several local restaurants of-
fer their specialties including Joe Allen's Pit Barbeque featur-

Thursday night is "Cantastic Night" McMillan said. Free
admission will be given if the fair-goer brings six Coke cans.
"If students haven't visited the Fair Cantastic Night would
be a good opportunity" she said.
