Our Integrity has been called Into question. Word of the
accusation comes to us In a letter from H. M. BUncoe,
former resident of Clarksville and employee of the Times.
It seems some of his assoc iates In Tennessee, where he
now Uvea, doubt the veracity of our statements concerning
slae and number of fish reported In this column.
Their lack of fishing knowledge Is apparent. The honesty
of a fisherman la never questioned --and particularly that
of a Texas fisherman. Perhaps the skeptics don’t ever eee
Texas-slae barn-door crapple as their lakes are located
In the hills and anyone knows that If the lake Isn’t level
the bigger fish will roll right out of the water and down
the mountainside.
But to uphold Mr. BUncoe s reputation as a true son at
Texas we are publishing a photograph of a typical catch
of bass for the benefit at the Tennesseans.
