Announces 1947
Tiger Lettermen
Coach Sonny Fagan has an-
nounced the following boys as
lettermen on the 1947 Deport
High School football team. Five
of the boys are seniors, six are
juniors and four are sophomores.
The Tigers for this _year were
very inexperienced and manag-
ed to win only two of their eight
games, however they played one
dfljjf their stiffest schedules in
j^Bfctrs. The Tigers did manage to
IHown their aroh rival, Bogata, to
ome tune of 26-7. With ten let-
termen back for next year, the
Deport Tigers should field a well
balanced and more experienced
ball club.

Gets Face Lifted
And Hair Curled
Wdrk of remodeling the build-
ing of the Talco State Bank and
installing new fixtures and floor-
ing was completed last Saturday
by workmen of the W. D. Collins
Bank Fixture Co. of Sherman.
The bank now has a modern and
beautiful appearance, both inter-
ior and exterior.
Gone are t*»« jvicket windows
and bars. Customers do business
over the counter of plate glass.
Fixtures are of statuary grain
Italian marble, with Bertie an-
tique base. Wood used is limed
oak. Thermo Plasic flooring was
laid in cement and modern fluor-
escent lighting installed. About
$5,000 was spent in the remodel-

B. is the son of the late Ernest

He and his brother, Ed Hayes
have opened an automobile agen-
