Howard Payne-Daniel Baker Joint Commencement
May 22
The sixty-fourth commencement of
Howard Payne College and the first
joint commencement with Daniel Baker
College will be held Friday May 22.
Seventy-two lire seniors ten DBC
seniors and three graduate students
will receive degrees. Six honorary de-
grees will also be awarded.
The commencement sermon will be
given at 10 o'clock Friday morning
with Dr. David N. Gardner editor of
the Baptist Standard as speaker. Rev.
L. D. Ball pastor of First Baptist
Church Lamesa will deliver the com-
mencement address at 8 p.m. Friday.
Other activities will include a Jacket
Club Breakfast in Brownwood Hotel
at 7 o'clock Friday morning; a lunch-
eon and meeting of the Board of Trus-
tee Hotel Brownwood at 12 noon; and
a luncheon by the Dolly Robnett Club
for the wives of the trustees on the
Roof Garden Hotel Brownwood at
12:45 Friday.
