The traditional 10 p. m. curfew
for Cambridge university stu-
dents was dealt a blow last month
by the vice-chancellor. "It is per-
haps strange" he said "that in
the mid-twentieth century auth-
orities should seriously have to
consider whether 11 o'clock is a
respectable hour for young men
and women to be abroad." He
called the early curfew "a bur-
den" and "exceedingly irksome
to young men."
