enactment of HB 2113 or similar legislation relating to the administration
and applicability of the sex offender registration program, the Department of
Public Safety is hereby appropriated $422,200 for fiscal year 2002 and
$61,590 for fiscal year 2003 out of the General Revenue Fund for the
purposes of implementing this Act. The Department of Public Safety is
hereby authorized to transfer the appropriation made pursuant to this
provision to the appropriate strategy items listed above. Also contingent on
the enactment of HB 2113, or similar legislation, the "Number of Full-time
Equivalent Positions (FTE)" figure indicated above is hereby increased by 2
for fiscal year 2002 and 0.5 for fiscal year 2003.
Amendment No. 96
Representative Allen offered the following amendment to Amendment
No. 95:
Amend the Allen amendment on page 114 of the floor packet as follows:
On line 5 of the amendment after the period, after the word "Act" add a
new sentence as follows: "These funds are also contingent upon the receipt of
federal matching funds in an equal amount by the department."
Amendment No. 96 was adopted without objection.
Amendment No. 95, as amended, was adopted without objection.
Amendment No. 97
Representative Allen offered the following amendment to CSSB 1:

Amend CSSB 1 by adding the following rider to Article XI following the
bill pattern for the Department of Public Safety.
Contingency Appropriation for HB 3149. Contingent upon the enactment
of HB 3149 or similar legislation relating to the collection and dissemination
of information concerning threats against public servants, the Department of
Public Safety is hereby appropriated $180,000 for fiscal year 2002 out of the
General Revenue Fund for the purposes of implementing this Act. The
Department of Public Safety is hereby authorized to transfer the appropriation
made pursuant to this provision of the appropriate strategy items listed above.
Funds appropriated by this provision may be expended for capital budget
purposes notwithstanding limitations on capital budget expenditures elsewhere
in this Act.
Amendment No. 98
Representative Allen offered the following amendment to Amendment
No. 97:
Amend the Allen amendment on page 115 of the floor packet as follows:
On line 4 of the amendment after the word "appropriated", strike
"~$,-89-,9" and replace it with "$80,000".
Amendment No. 98 was adopted without objection.
