79th LEGISLATURE REGULAR SESSION
Amendment No. 1 was adopted.
HR 3, as amended, was adopted. (Hochberg, Hopson, Leibowitz,
McReynolds, Pefia, and Quintanilla recorded voting no.)
REASONS FOR VOTE
I voted no because I objected to raising my budget at a time when funds are
scarce.
Hochberg
Pefia
I voted no on HR 3 because it has a provision in it whereby members
receive a $500 increase in our office holder's account each month. In light of the
fact that I don't yet know how or if we will keep the Lufkin State School open or
how to fund public education because of the court order, I respectfully refuse to
give our office holder's account an increase.
McReynolds
