District News
Ted Ahd Herbert Fapkus,
whose place is near Cistern,
have recently planted a few
acres of alfalfa to be used
in a rotation with other
crops. The alfalfa will be
used for soil improve-
ment as well as for rotation
of hay and "pasture. Ted
and Herbert Fajkus are in
the proctss of developing a
conservation plan on their
place and becoming a eoop-
erator of the Fayette SCD.

Cooperator Barney C.
Klutts reports that he has
recently cleared 80 acrts of
post oak timber by dozing.
He plans to sprig this area
to Coastal Bermuda grass.
Klutts’ place is located in
the Muldoon area.

located in the Weimar area

serve as an outlet for

50% of the forage pro-
duced on his rangeland dur-
ing the growing season of
1961.
