Foundation and its programs.
Producers are being asked to
contribute on the basis of 50
cents per head for adult cows,
horses and steers, and 10 cents
per head for sheep, goats, swine
and deer,” Schaefer said.
Contributions may be made
to any member of the commit-
tee. All monies collected will
be passed on to the Foundation
for support of existing re-
search facilities and conduct
of large scale field tests.
Chairman Schaefer said, “We
know this first program will
cost several million dollars,
but if we can remove the
screwworm from the scene, the
annual savings will amount to
several times the cost of the
control effort.” . /-. •
