A reception was held at the
Warrenton hall where a chick-
en and mutton barbecue din-
ner was served. The bride’s
table held a large three-tiered
round wedding cake embossed
with' pink and white roses,
green leaves and love birds
topped with a miniature bride
and groom standing underneath
a bell. The cake was placed on
a mirror reflector edged with
a net ruffle. An arrangement
of flowers was placed on each
side of the cake.
Rose Marie Meinen cut the
cake and La Vern Bender
served the cake. Roma Dell
Bender registered the guests.
Each had a white chrysanthe-
mum corsage.
The bride is a 1951 graduate
Silver Anniversary
Celebrated By Peters
Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Peters
of Carmine celebrated their
25th wedding anniversary on
Thanksgiving Day with a de-
licious barbecue dinner and re-
freshments served to about 50
friends and relatives.
The table held a beautifully
decorated cake with the nu-
merals “25” in silver placed on
top. Beautiful arraigements of
flowers, brought by friends
and relatives, were placed at
vantage points throughout the
of Round Top-Carmine Rural
High school and the groom is a
1953 graduate of Bellville high
school. They will make their
home in Houston where the
groom is employed.

Rites At Round Top
The marriage of Miss Ver-
nice Geneal Dippel, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Dippel,
and Allen Earl Neumann, son
of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Neumann,
was solemnized at 1:30 Satur- j
day afternoon at Bethlehem
Lutheran church in Round Top,
the Rev. A. B. Weiss perform-
ing the double ring ceremony. |
Arrangements of white as-
ters and lace fern were used
on the altar and throughout the
church. Mrs. Fritz Meinen pro-
vided the wedding music. She
wore a white carnation corsage.
The bride, who entered with
the groom, wore a floor length .
gown of satin with an over- * J
skirt of white nylon net with
insertions of lace edged with
net ruffles. The skirt was worn
over a hoop. The fitted lace
bodice over satin was buttoned j
down the back with lace but-
tons. It featured a scalloped
neckline edged with a tiny:
tulle ruffle and an illusion
yoke. The long fitted lace
sleeves came to a point over!
the hands. Her finger-tip veil
edged with lace was fastened
to a beaded crown. She carried ,
white carnations.
Miss Doris Mae Dippel, the
maid of honor, wore a floor;
length gown of American Beau-
ty nylon net over taffeta with
a bolero net. She wore a match-
ing headdress and mitts and
carried a nosegay of white as-
ters fluted with nylon net.
Bridesmaids were Mrs. Den-
nis Wehring and Valorie Fay
Kraemer. They were attired
similar to the honor attendant.
Sandra Marie, the flower girl,
wore white. Ronnie Earl Stork
carried the rings.
August Voelkel served as
best man. Groomsmen were
Dennis Wehring and Kirby
Dippel, and Wilbert Krause
and Charlene Griebe were
ushers.
The bride’s mother wore a
grey suit with black accessories
and the groom’s mother wore
