Mr. and Mrs. O. A. Krueger
attended the second Krueger
family reunion at the New Ulm
church recreation hall Sunday,
June 29.
Rev. Milroy Gregor conduc-
ted a devotional service follow-
ed by a brief sermon by the
Rev. Edwin T. Brown of San
Antonio. The latter is a cousin
of the Krueger family.
A meeting was held and.the
present officers were reelected.
It was voted to have the next
reunion at the same place on
the third Sunday in June, I960.
Those attending came from
Lawton, Okla.; Waco, Marlin,
Winter, Manor, San Antonio,
Houston, Van Vleck, West,
New Ulm, Columbus, West
Point, Port Arthur, Frelsburg,
Hallettsville, Campbellton, El
Mott and Warrenton.

Honored At Shower
Gladys Schroeder, bride-
elect of Eugene Zigal, was hon-
ored with a miscellaneous
shower at the Plum Parish hall
on June 22.
Upon entering, the bride-to-
be was showered with rice,
then presented with a corsage
of white carnations. The
groom’s mother and the host-
esses also wore corsages of
white carnations.
The gift table was covered
with a white linen cloth and de-
corated with pink and blue
streamers. It was centered with
a miniature pink umbrella, edg-
ed with a ruffle of white net,
and from underneath hung tiny
gift packages.
The refreshment table held
a heart - shaped cake with
“Gladys and Gene" written on
it and was placed on a mirror
edged with a white net ruffle.
Fifty guests were registered

Reunion At Brenham
June 22 marked the date of
the Neumann - Decker reunion
at Fireman’s park of Brdnham.
Families began to arrive be-
fore noon and after a short de-
votion, led by Mrs. Louis Trey-
big, » picnic lunch was enjoy-
ed by the group. The afternoon
was spent in conversation and
the youngsters enjoyed the
swimming pool.
A large numbers of relatives
were present. Towns represen-
ted included Thrall, Warren-
ton, Austin, Angleton, Taylor,
Hutto, Houston and Brenham.
In a short business session
the group decided to havt. their
next reunion on July 19, 1959
at Fireman’s park, Brenham.
