God church in Dallas was the
setting at 8 o’clock Saturday
evening for the wedding of
Miss Doris Littlejohn of Dal-
las and Lee Maeckel Jr., for-
merly of La Grange.
The Rev. H. C. Noah officia-
ted at the marriage, Mrs. Noah
was the organist, and Talmedge
Upchurch was the soloist. The
color theme for the wedding
was tangerine, coppertone and
white.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Willard Little-
john of Dallas and the bride-
groom’s parents are Mr. and
Mrs. Lee Maeckel Sr. of Bren-
ham.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride was attired
in a formal gown of imported
pure silk tulle. The basque
bodice was designed with a
square neckline and her tiny
short sleeves were compliment-
ed ivith short white kid gloves,

her waist and was highlighted
with sprays of orange blossoms

ry Dean Young and Raymond
Lee Littlejohn, and ushers were
Joseph Godwin and Bud Willis,
all of Dallas. Gary Don Niet-
sche of La Grange was ring
bearer.
A reception immediately fol-
lowing the ceremony was held
at the home of the bride’s par-
ents at 3715 Kushla. In the
houseparty were Misses Ann
Carjdler, Gwen Withrow, Bec-
ky Garvin and Jacqueline Dun-
levey, all of Dallas.
Following a wedding trip the
couple will make their home
in Dallas.
Out-of-town guests attend-
ing the wedding included the
groom’s parents, the bride’s
grandmother, Mrs. Emma Wal-
ker, Mr. and Mrs. Edd Maeckel
and son, Mr. and Mrs. Bennie
Nietsche and sons and Mr. and
Mrs. Roland Harbers and fam-
ily.

Rites Held At Plum
Miss Audrey Roensch and
Robert L. Belota were recently
married in Sts. Peter and Paul
church in Plum, the Rev. Ben-
ton A. Thurmond performing
the double ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Roensch
and the groom is the son of Mr.
and Mrs. Joe Belota.
The bride wore a white lace
ballerina length dress over taf-
feta with a fitted bodice and
long sleeves which came to
points over the wrists. Her
fingertip illusion veil depended
from a crown of pearls. She
carried a bouquet of pink roses
and white carnations.
Miss Dorothy Roensch, sis-
ter of the bride, served as maid
of honor, and wore a gown of
pink ruffled net over taffeta
with a fitted bodice. She had a
