spect to the issuance of sewer bonds
was read in full and it was moved
by J. F. Dunnaway and seconded by
Sam Null that the same be passed
and adopted.
Thereupon the question being call-
ed for, the Mayor put the question
for the passage of the election order
by stating that those favoring the
passage of the election order to vote
Aye, and those opposed to vote No.
The following members voted Aye:
G. L. Bell, B. R. Joslin, J. F. Dunna-
way, and Sam Null. None voted No.

The Club Ladies visited Grandma
Graves and Grandma Nations last
Monday. The ladies are visiting the
shut-ins in the community.
Mr. and Mrs. Rube Hollowell spent
from Friday until Sunday visiting rel-
atives at Kilgore.
Francis McMakin of Fruitvale spent
Saturday night with LaRuth Rucker.
Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Rucker and

The three new 1939 Oldsmobiles, in-
troduced last week by Oldsmobile deal-
ers throughout the United States,
have won instant favor with motorists
everywhere, according to C. L., gene-
ral manager of Oldsmobile. T he new
Oldsmobiles are listed as the Series
“Sixty”, a six cylinder car in the low
priced field, Series “Seventy" in the
popular priced field, and the Series
“Eighty" in the medium priced field.
“The combination of Oldsmobile’s
1939 streamline styling, and the in-
troduction of entirely new mechanical
features to produce a new high in
riding comfort and roadability, has
resulted in public acclaim nationally,
and as a result has greatly stimulat-
ed our new car sales,” said McCuen.
‘Oldsmobile dealers in every part
of the country are reporting-sales of
our new cars in greater volume than
we originally anticipated," he added.

the state of Texas regulating gener-
al elections.
A copy of this order signed by the
Mayor of the City of Grand Saline,
Texas, attested by the City Secre-
tary shall serve as a proper notice of
said election.
The Mayor is authorized and di-
rected to cause notices of this elec-
tion to be posted at three public
places in the City of Grand Saline,
