The Southern States Cotton Cor-
Ijoratiou, organized of farmers,
bonkers and all business men of the
South, Is for the benefit of the man
behind the plow. The Southern
Flutee Cotton Corporation takes over
your cotton, holds it off the market
for you and makes an advancement
on the cotton, then Instead of you
having to bear the expense of hold-
ing, the corporation assumes that.
The cotton Is centralized so that
money can be borrowed whore mon-
ey la cheap. So long as each farmer
holds cotton In the South he has to
do it to the chagrin of himself and
often times to that of his banker and
merchant. This kind of holding can
be done only locally. No man or
company with many millions of mon-
ey will think about lending Individ-
ual farmers money on hi? specific
little crop.
Below we give the names of thoae
neighbors In Collin county who have
taken it upon themselves to help
place the South and Southern cotton
farmer in position to have a say so
about the price of wh&t he sells in-
stead of letting the other fellow
price everything he buys and sells.
These men have contracted their cot-
ton with the view that you also
would help. There Is a man In ev-
ery town in this county who will
contract your cotton. We ask and
implore that you go to him and con-
tract yoar cotton. This Is your du-
ty, not the contractor’s place to go
to the farm hunting you. Do It row,
the time Is at hand and It is going to
be only a matter of a short time un-
til the success or failure of this
move will rest on your head. You
are not responsible for your neigh-
bor. Do your part and he will do
Ms. Let every man who contract-
ed, boost his neighbor.
