After an eventful trip to Bel-
Air and a reunion with his so-
phisticated (and very wealthy)
former love, Arrington Calder,
confirmed bachelor Stone Bar-
rington is looking to stay in New
York and cash in on his partner-
ship at Woodman and Weld. Not
only is he a rainmaker at one of
the richest white-shoe law firms
in town, but he’s back in his el-
ement. Manhattan, after all, is
his home, and no one is better
than Stone at navigating both
its shadowy underworlds and its
chic high society.
But Arrington has other plans
for Stone, and his life is about to
take a turn he never imagined....
Check out “Son of Stone” the
latest Stone Barrington novel by
Stuart Woods at the Archer Pub-
lic Library.

And for elite military cop
Jack Reacher, that somewhere
was Carter Crossing, Mississip-
pi, way back in 1997. A lonely
railroad track. A crime scene.
A cover-up. A young woman is
dead, and solid evidence points
to a soldier at a nearby military
base. But that soldier has pow-
erful friends in Washington.
Reacher is ordered under-
cover—to find out everything
he can, to control the local po-
lice, and then vanish. Reacher

is a good soldier. But when he
gets to Carter Crossing, he finds
layers that no one saw coming,
and the investigation spins out
of control.
Local sheriff Elizabeth De-
veraux has a thirst for justice—
and an appetite for secrets.
Uncertain they can trust each
other, Reacher and Deveraux
reluctantly join forces. Reacher
works to uncover the truth, while
others tiy to bury it forever. The
conspiracy threatens to shatter
his faith in his mission, and turn
him into a man to be feared.

Reacher Series, “The Affair” by
Lee Child at the Archer Public
Library.
Dentists aid
in Treating
other
Diseases
Hundreds of years ago it was the
barber who treated teeth. Then
the body of knowledge grew
to create the dental profession.
Today, you usually think of the
dentist as the doctor who handles
teeth and gums. But so much
recent evidence is pouring in - to
not only increase our knowledge
but to change the way we think in
how diseases in the mouth affect
the body - that the dentist may
enter a new role in the future.
That role is to aid in reducing
the risk of heart disease, stroke,
diabetes, COPD, and cancer.
How? By preventing and treating
