students will faee the possibility

military serviee.
In spite of the end of the 2-S
clftsetfioation things do look a
little brighter than they have in
years past. The war in Viet Nam

Library possesses
variety of Bibles
by RICHARD HBNRICH8
ACC undoubtedly enoys one
of the most dense Bible
populations in the world. The
Holy Writ comes in diverse
shapes and aiaes but the Brown
Library possesses the most
miraculous contrast in Bibles.
Of Goliathan magnitude Is the
world's largest Bible located in
the third floor's east stairway.
Benevolently given to the Hbrary
by the Baker Heights Church m
Ft. Worth the BiUe is 48M
inches high and 8-1 Inches thick.
When opened it is eight feet two
inches wide. The giant weighs
1094 pounds over one-half of a
ton.
At the mustard seed end of
the spectrum is the World
Publishing Company Bible num-
ber 716. The two Inch square
microform which weighs but a
few ounces. Is kept in the
Special Collection room. The
actual printed matter containing
both the Old and New Testa-
ment In 1246 pages covers an
area less than 1 38 inch square.
Although not designed for
pulpit use or missionaries these
Bibles are quite inspiring in their
own right and would be well
worth a trip to the library.
