City Hall, The City of Abilene, Texas
The Board of Commissioners of The City of Abilene, Texas
met in regular session Friday December 29, 1955,with Mayor
Johnson present and. presiding. Commis sionere Hale , Womack,
Tittle and Boyd were present.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.VOUCHERS & PAYROLL Commissioner Womack made a motion,duly seconded and carried,
APPROVED approving for payment all vouchers approved, Nos. 9447 B to
9475 B, inclusive. All Commissioners voted "Aye”.PAUPER FUND PAYMENTCommis sioner Womack made a motion, duly seconded and carried,
authorizing the City secretary to issue a. voucher for $441.72
in favor of Taylor County Fifth Class Pauper Fund, being 50 per
cent of the amount of warrants issued December 10, 1955.
All Commissioners voted ” Aye” .
The following resolution was presented bp the Board:
TAXES- REDUCTION RESOHJTION AUTHORIZING THE ASSESSOR "ND COLLECTOR OF
IN ASSESSMENT T*XES TO REDUCE THE ASSESSED VALUE OF THE N, W. 50 x 140 FEET,
OF NW. 50x140 BLOCK 202, OUTLOT 2, TO THE VALUE OF $650.00.

202, Outlot 2 WHEREAS, the Northwest 50 x 140 feet, Block 202, Outlot 2
has heretofore been assessed with a gp If course thereon; end
WHEREAS, as a matter of fact there has not been a golf
course on said property for some time and the assessed value
thereof has been too high because of this error; therefore,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY
OF A BILE NE:
That the Assessor and Collector of Taxes be and he is
hereby authorized and directed to reduce the assessed value of
the Northwest 50 x 140 feet, Block 202, Outlot 2 to the sum of
$650.00, said property being assessed as against Sam Johnson.
Passed a nd a - oro ved thi s the 29 th day of Decem ber 1955 .

By motion of Commissioner Womack, duly seconded and carried,
the above Resolution was adopted. All Commiss ioners voted "Aye".
PAYMENT TO J.T. Commissioner Womack made a motion, duly s econded and carried,
HOWARD FOR authorizing the City Secretary to issue a voucher for §9.00 in
SERVICING favor of J. T. Howard for servicing three pianos in the City
PIANOS ' Auditoriums, for six months. All Commissioners voted "Aye”.
By motion of Commissioner Tittle, seconded by Commissioner
Hale, the meeting was adjourned. "11 Commissioners voted "Aye” .^YOR
