Austin, in which Burleson reports that he received Austin's communication regarding the interception of the supply convoy too late to send a detachment last night. Burleson also reports that he sent Maj. Sommerville and seventy men to support Capt. [Fanning]'s efforts, and that Capt. Lockhart has returned to Camp Defiance after being separated from fellow troops near the Medina River.
