Uchikake

Description: Wedding uchikake (padded hem kimono) of white polyester with large silver embroidery cranes, silver metallic thread lining, which shows at bottom hem, which is padded. Cranes in flight indicate younger bride, Long sleeves, indicating youth. Metallic lining is very modern, likely to have been made for tourist market. Corners of front retain protective covers which are taken off when worn.
