Mrs. Florence Watkins Cox took charge of the Voice
Department in September, 1916, and has done most excellent
work in training and direction during the year. She
has specialized in her study with private artists, haaving
received the personal instruction of Clarence B. Ashenden,
formerly of Boston; also of Madame Estelle Burns-Roure
and Frederick Bristol of New York. Mrs. Cox has proved
herself to be an efficient director of choirs and Glee Clubs,
besides being prominently connected for many years with
the musical life of Brownwood.
