BULLETIN OF HOWARD PAYNE COLLEGE
The Graduate Division
SCOPE OF THE GRADUATE PROGRAM
The scope of the graduate program is limited to the specialized
field of teacher education. The overall program at the
present time is organized into five divisions as follows: Education,
Fine Arts, Languages and Literature, Science and Mathematics,
and the Social Sciences. The courses offered in graduate study
lead to just one degree-the professional degree of Master
of Education. The student may choose his major in either of the
three following areas from the Division of Education: Elementary
Education, Secondary Education, and Educational Administration.
He may choose hisminor or minors in one or two of the
designated areas in the divisions listed below, provided, that at
least six hours of the minor study shall be done outside of the
division of Education.

3. Division of Languages and Literature
