Congratulations to 2014-2015 District One Royalty. They are, left to
right, Duchess Taylor Groce, Queen Natalee See, King Nikolas Faust,
and Duke Kadě Junek, all of Lodge 9, Snook. They were crowned at
District One Youth Achievement Day held July 13 at Caldwell Civic
Center. District One YAD photos and results on pages 17 to 21 of this
week’s Vestnik.
Congratulations to 2014-2015 District Two Royalty. They are, left to right,
Duchess Makayla Newsom and Queen Kacie Vanecek, both of Lodge 48,
Beyersville; King Jacob Horák of Lodge 80, Holland; and Duke Cody
Voigt of Lodge 29, Taylor. They were crowned at District Two Youth
Achievement Day held July 12 at Lodge 29, Taylor. District Two YAD
photos and results will appear in next week’s Vestnik.

SPJST State YAD August 2 in Temple
SPJST will showcase its youth at
State Youth Achievement Day this
Saturday, August 2 at the Frank W.
Mayborn Convention Center, located
at 3303 North Third Street in Temple.
All youth participants must register
their entries between 9 and 10 a.m. in
the lobby of the convention center.
Royalty contestants are asked to meet
at the stage for a brief rehearsal and
further instructions at 9:30 a.m.
Youth will compete in a speciál cat-
egory contest at 10 a.m. in the dining
room. This contest is left a surprise to
all competitors until the day of the
event. Past speciál category contests
háve included play-dough construc-
tion, story-telling, and drawing.
Opening Ceremonies at 11 a.m.
The day’s program begins with
opening ceremonies at 11 a.m. A
lunch, which will include a choice of
two - beef fajita soft taco, chicken fajita
soft taco, or ground beef soft taco -
with rice, beans, taco fixings, and tea,
will be available for $5 from 11 a.m. to
1:30 p .m. Other food will be available
throughout the day.
SPJST youth who received first

tions across Texas this summer will
compete at the statě level in various
competitions, including group and in-
dividual talent, speech, nine craft cat-
