State YA?
is August 2
e háve a correction to last
week’s column regarding the Cor-
pus Christi getaway coming up on
August 8 to 10. The law for hands-
free only cell phone usage went into
effect in November 2013 for drivers
in Corpus. There are no warnings
and bright orange flyers. If you are
caught talking and/or texting while
driving within the Corpus Christi
City Limits - beware - you may be
issued a ticket. Hands-free only cell
phone usage is permitted. Thanks
to Lodge 79 President Mark Rebe-
cek for clarifying this information.
