The work was thoroughly done and represents a saving
of $400 to the University. But that which pleases us most is
the spirit of loyalty shown by these young men in willingly
taking hold of shovel, spade and pick and pushing the work
to completion.
The above refers to the work done the past two years.
This year the students have raised in cash among' themselves
several hundred dollars and the young men are now doing
much rough work about the building free of charge. This
spirit of loyalty is worthy of the highest commendation and
places Wiley University in the front rank of institutions in
which so great a per cent of labor is voluntarily given by
students.
