Nazarene Missionary to Ckina
To Speaic at Cross Roads Chapel
The Rev. Harry A. Wiese, who
has spent a number of years as
u missionary in China, will speak
at the Nazarene Chapel in the
Cross Roads community near Cen-
tal at 7 o’clock Thanksgiving night,
the Rev. O J. Range, pastor, an-
nounced .this week.
Mr. and Mrs. Wiese first went
to China in 1920, under the aus-
picies of the department of foreign
missions of the Church of the
Nazarene. With the exception of
short furloughs to the “states,”
they have resided in China until
present war conditions urged their
return home.
The missionary sailed for China
for his third term in May, 1948,
and returned only last July. He
will speak next Thursday night on
the Chinese people and the needs
in that field, illustrating his mes-
sage with colored slides and films,
the pastor said. Before entering
missionary work, Mr. Wiese at-
tended Bethany Peniel College,
Bethany, Okla., and Pasadena Col-
lege, Pasadena, Calif.
The missionary’s talk is open to
the public and everyone is invitedjf
to attend.
