Hounds Fall To Rule
RULE — The state's No. 1
ranked Class B football power
lived up to its rating but Rule
had its hands full in posting a
28-0 victory over Throckmor-
ton in a District 5-B clash here
Thursday night.
After playing to a scoreless
tie the first half, Rule upped
its season mark to 8-0 with a
13-point explosion the third pe-
riod.
Larry Barbee gave Rule (3-0
in district) all the points it
needed when he rambled 50
yards with an interception.
Jesse Macias followed with
the PAT boot and Rule led for
good, 7-0.
Steve Anders made it 13-0
when he grabbed a 9-yard
scoring toss from quarterback
Art Briles.
Eriles padded that margin
with a 30-yard run in the
fourth quarter and after Briles
hit Anders for the two-point
conversion, Rule led 21-0.
Rob Kittley rounded out the
scoring with a 29-yard TD
pass from Macias. Macias
then added the PAT for the
28-0 Rule win.
Briles was the game’s lead-
ing rusher with 115 yards on
19 carries while Bill’ Bundy
paced the Throckmorton run-
ning- attack with 91 yards qn
25 trips.
