The Throckmorton
City Council met Tues-
day night, Jan 16, in re-
gular session. Several
merchants were at the
meeting also.
Main topic for the ev-
ening and main reason
for the merchants be-
ing there, was the busi-
ness of determining
wages to pay a night
watchman. As it cur-
rently stands now there
are a total of 22
merchants paying a to-

wages and their pay-
ments.
Payments made by
merchants help to keep
their insurance rates
down and are also de-
ductible.
It was also disclosed
that the City had re-

Sharing checks from the
Federal Government.
One for $3,282 and one
for $3,421.

The Chamber of Com-
merce had its first real
meeting of the year
Tuesday, Jan. 16 in the
grade school library
with 20 members pre-
sent. President Mike
Stewart presided.
