NOTE 4-Transfer of Fund Income
On June 23, 1979, the Executive Council of the Association passed resolutions requiring the
transfer of investment income from the Publication Fund and Endowment Fund to the Gen-
eral Fund. The transfers to the General Fund of Publication and Endowment Fund incomes,
for the year ended August 31, 199o, are made in accordance with the above resolutions.
Use of the investment income of the Mary Moody Northen Junior Historian Endowment
Fund is restricted to the support of Junior Historian activities. The transfer to the General
Fund of the investment income of the Northen Fund for the year ended August 31, i990, is
made in accordance with the fund restriction.
Use of the investment income of the various research fellowship funds is restricted to the
provision of specific research assistantships for the Handbook Project. The transfers to the
Handbook Project Fund of research fellowship fund incomes for the year ended August 31,
199o, are made in accordance with the funds' restrictions.
Investment income is transferred from various award funds to the general fund to meet ad-
ministration costs. The transfer amounts are computed as a percentage of awards paid.
