A VIEW of the massive memorial which has Just been unveiled in Berlin
in honor of the troops oi motorized devices, such us tanks, autos, motor
cycles, etc., who lost their lives in uction during the World war.
MRS. MARTHA CASEY
Mrs. Martha Casey, 57, died Satur-
day, July 11 at her home near Grand
Saline. Sh$ was born in Mississippi,
coming to Texas in early life.
At the age of 18 she was married
to Bob Casey and to this union were
born 11 children, three girls and eight
boys. Three children preceded her to
the better yrorld. The surviving chil-
dren are Raymond Casey, Mrs. Myrtle
Slider, Walter Casey, Mrs. Lillie Mor-
ris, Willie and Cy, Bobbie and Free-
man Casey. She also leaves four
brothers and two sisters to mourn her
departure.
Mrs. Casey was convered at the age
of 17 but she never united with any
church. But she loved the church and
God’s people and as long as she was
able she did all she could for her
neighbors and for suffering humanity.
She was a devoted wife and loving
mother, and tried to point them to the
God that she loved so well. May the
bereaved husband and children look
to the God she loved for comfort and
follow the example that she has set
before them, that there may be an
unbroken family around the throne
of God. May God’s richest blessings
rest upon each member of the family.
—A Friend.

TYLER, Texas, July 15.—Gregg
County led the East Texas field with
thirty-nine naw completions during
the last week, according to figures re-
leased here today. The distriot north
of the Sabine River had twenty-two
of these and the rest were in the Kil-
gore pool south of the river. Initial
guages in the regions that are pretty
well drilled up have started dropping,
and indication that the draining of
the sand is lowering the pressure of
these districts. However, this drop is
small so far, as production is expect-
to hold up for some time yet, accord-
: ing to oil scouts.
The Lathrop pool completed thir-
teen wells last week, started actual
drilling operations on six new loca-
tions and announced twenty-four lo-
cations.—Dallas Journal.
