RAYMOND BROUTHERTIN is president of the
Lions Club at Sundown, Texas; and the Lubbock
paper shows him holding the first shovelful
of dirt for the foundation of the Community
House sponsored' py :the vclu-b.
Raymond has been out there 15 months and
has drilled 70 oilwells for the Texas Co. If
you have read these letters through the years
you know how proud of him I am. He has been
one of my boys for forty years....They have on-
ly one daughter,, Mary Lynn. She married one
of the Fernandes.boys, and they live 8 miles
out from Hermit on the Odessa highway. They- are
big ranch people—land cattle, oil, Mary Lynn1
brother-in-law has recently bought-half-interest
in the vast Paul Slator oil and cattle empire.
And that old boy was using his head when he mar-
ried Mary Lynn.. She’s refined, cultured , educa-
ted, practical, and good. -
Raymond, ha.s: returned from Kansas,where he
went to hunt pheasants. „
Mrs. W. W. KING- says’ she joins Mrs. McCon-
nell in the belief that we 'are ’’doing more good”
than anyone else in DentonIf these fine la-
dies keep on they may convince a few others.

The Rev. HARRY VANDERPOOLS in Dallas, have
twin boys. Harry ’phoned his dad (Dist.Supt,
Walter), that he had twice as many boys now as
his dad and mother had .Void Walter came back
with, ”1 wouldn’t doubt that our one caused us
more worry than both of youis will....The boys
have been named Philip and Patrick. Bro.Van-
derpool said to me, "You got to be careful what
you say about me in The DOINGS.....I got to
maintain a.lot of dignity now....not many folks
have TWIN GRANDSONS.” ;;' - . - ■ ,
E. G. and Mrs. BOYLES drove out to Paducah
to see .that amazing. 75-foot tower above Oscar
Hall s .TV receiver. Paducah is 200 miles from
Fort Worth.;;.but Oscar gets a very good signal.
When they get TV^at Wichita Falls, he will re-
ally come into his own,.,..To me Oscar Hall is
much more interesting than his TV receiver. *
.TOM" FLOYD is now traveling for a wholesale
furniture company....He will-make good---fine
looking, good personality, and plenty smart.
And that little wife of his is a wonderful in-
centive for hi.m to do his level best.
