CITY TO COOPERATE
WITH CLEANUP DRIVE
Tlie City of Graham in coopera-
tion with the atate-wide cleanup
Wvek drive has agreed to make a
special mapping of the city for trash
and garbage placed conveniently by
property owners who are falling in
line with the spring cleanup move-
ment
The fire prevention and cleanup
week began Monday and will eon- !
tinue through Saturday with special
mention of the 'drive being made
at the weekly meetings of the civic ;
and social clubs.
Persons who have trash and rub- |
Wsh of which they wish to dispose '
may place them along the alley to j
await pickup by the city’s disposal ,
trucks.
It will not be necessary, Mayor
Gallaher said, to telephone the City
Hall to have the trash removed.
The streets and alleys have been
mapped to cover the entire town
quickly and thoroughly and unless
the trash is placed outside immed-
iately after the truck has made its
rounds, little delay is anticipated
in disposal of the rubbish.
