At the late Pat Stock Show at Ft.
Worth, one of the greatest exhibitions
in the history of that famous festival

{congenial toastmaster snd handled
the big dinner party in a pleasing way
and made everyone feel free and
glad to be there. Muaic and readings
accompanied the eating, a Mis* Law-
rence reading so excellently that she
was recalled read “The Woman at
the Gate” i n the terms of Maggie and.
Jiggs. After the coffee had been
passed all the visiting editors were
called on and each thanked the Lue-
ders Chamber of Commerce for a
good dinner and praised that little
city for Its enterprise and Push. Col.
Dick used to run a paper in Lueders
and his speech was reminiscent of the
early days and optomlstic of the fu-
ture of Lueders and all of West Tex-
as.
