for the district event. The Eagles
will play the Talpa-Pettsvllle win-
ner Saturday morning at 10:40

The other semi-final game is to
begin at 9:30 a. m. Saturday and
will pair the winners at the Brown-
wood-Prtddy and Brsdy-San Baba
contests.

night wlH begin at 7 o'clock in
order to avoid a conflict with the

Missing from the tourney this
year are the Burkett Bluebirds,
champions of 1938 and 1939 Burk-
ett was eliminated 23-11 Wednes-
day by Talpa hi the play-off game
for the championship of Coleman
county. Other county champions
here last year who failed to repeat
are- Outline, Comanche county
Carlton. Hamilton county. Roch-
elle. McCulloch county, and Star.
Mills county
Brownwood and San Saba are
the only county champions back,

contenders for the 1940 champion-
ship are Sidney. Talpa and Brown-
wood. The Lions of Brownwood
