10 NUMBER ONE
The heat was so unbearable that my head ached
and the sand blistered my bare feet.
Only an impatient August wind offered a respite from the
beach inferno;
And my dream, like a well-fortified sand castle,
collapsed in its fury.
I tied back my hair and waited for the rain ...
Trace the tears down my flushed cheek.
Convince me that their bitter taste won't remain in
my mouth long after the tears have dried.
wait,
I was blinded by the sun
and the sand
and the tears
I wanted to watch you walk away.
I wanted to tell you ---
but my throat was too dry.
don't go.
please stay.
and then the rains came.

NUMBER TWO
what do you do when ---
no matter how hard you cry
your eyes stay dry
no matter how fast you run ---
you end up in the same place
no matter how much you forget --
you always remember
no matter how loudly you laugh ---
the pain remains
no matter how much you lie ---
you can't hide the truth
where do you run?
what do you do when... ?
