Mrs. G. C. Hughes and Mis.
J. H. May of Teague visited Mr.
and Mrs. Joe Howell and other
relatives in Donie Wednesday
afternoon.
Funeral services were held
at tht First Baptist Church Sat-
urday afternoon for S. O. Scott,
who passed away in the Teague
City Hospital Friday morning.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs.
Ida Scott, two daughters, Mrs.
Shirley Graham of Donie, Mrs.
Norma Jean Higginbotham of
Weatherford and two sons. Hes-
ton Scott of Teague and Bruce
Scott of Austin, ten grand-
| children and a host of other
relatives and friends Services
| were conducted by Bro. Barron
Harris, with Ham Bros, in
charge of arrangements. Inter-
ment was in Post Oak Ceme-
tery.

Illinois is visiting Mr. and Mrs.

family went to Houston to visit
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Huffman
and family and Mr. and Mrs.
Trov Huffman and family last
week end.
Mr. and Mrs. Kerry Savage
arid family, Mr. and Mrs. Kyle
Savage and family, Patsy Sav-
age and Gene Myers, all of
Houston, visited Mrs. Pearl
Savage last week end. Mrs.
Savage, Kerry, I’ats.v and Gene
visited Mis. Monta Martin and
family in Hillsboro Sunday.
Funeral services were held
in Hillsboro Monday for Jake
Martin, a former resident of
Donie. interment was in Union
Cemetery.
Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Moody
and their grandaughter of
Houston are spending several
days at their home here. Mr.
and Mrs. R. S. Gilliam of San
Angelo visited them lust week
end.
Mrs. Alvis Harris is visiting
Mr. and Mrs. Roger Carson at
Fort McPherson, Georgia, help-
ing them entertain their new
daughter, Cathy. The Carsons
have one other child, a son,
Kit. Mr. Harris visited with the
family a few days hut has re-
turned home.
Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Vestal
and Jeanie and Mrs. Dewitt
Walker have returned from a
vacation trip to New Mexico.
They were accompanied by Mrs.
Edgar Brewer. Mrs. Effie Brew-
er and Mrs. Lois Salmon of
Buffalo.
Mr. and Mrs. Alton Fulton
and family of Lufkin visited
Mr. and Mrs. Henry i-Mlton last
week end.
