most dead. Corn is looking very
well, though so -much cool
weather is not doing it any

are nice, if the high wind would

But we must not complain, as

expecting to see a match game.
You were a week too soon, girls;

OBITUARY.'*
Eureka* April 25, 1907.
Mrs. Martha Bonner died
April 14th, 1907. at the home of
her son, J. A. Bonner, near Eu-
reka, Navarro county. Mrs. Bon-
ner was born in Wilcox Co., Ala.,
November 14,1832. She was mar-
ridxl k> Dr. J. I. Bonner in the
same county on Oct. 1, 1851.
With her husband she moved to
Freestone Co., Texas, in 1852.
Mrs. Bonner was the mother
of six children four sons and
t.tfo daughters four of these
survive her: Mrs. Sallie Befl

the job of working the grave-
yard again. E. P. Hughes, E.
F. Ezell and Charley Rife were
elected as a committee to see to
it being worked.
We are having soifie wet, coot
weather which is bad on grow-
ing crops.
We had a meeting at Old AUlti
och churcR, otie mile east of Lu-
na. Lots of the readers of the
RECORDtttx-will bring the place
to mind.' There was a good
crowd present, but if the weath-
er had been favorable there
would bave been many more.
There was plenty of dinner—
enough carried bffck to have fed
as many more. And that is not
all we had. Tho Rev. George
Bounds was with us, and he
preached a good sermon. I
think alLenjoyed the sermon.
At least he held the attention of
the young folks better than any-
one' here for quite awhile,
but George.can do that in this
community,'Somehow tbe peo-
ple like him.
D. C. Ezell and family, of
near Buffalo, were at the Memo-
rial Friday.
James Vann and family, from
Cedar.. Creek neighbor ho o d,
were here Friday.
Mrs..,, Frank Sanders, from
Thornton, was here at the Me-
morial Friday.
