bride-elect of Mr. Hershel Mills of
Odessa was honored with a gift
tea Friday, Dec 16 in the home
of Mrs. Forrest Senters, 710 Cherry
Street.
Hostesses for tha occasion were
Mrs.' Senters, Mrs. Tom Donnell,
Mrs!. Nick Crenshaw, and Mrs. Ed
gar Steele. Jr. Guests were receiv-
ed by Mrs. Senters, the bride-elect
and Mrs. Crenshaw.
The tea table was laid with :

The bnde's chosen colors of
pink and white were carried ou
in the decorations throughout the

lea service and assisted in the din-
ing room. The hostesses alternate-

dents home for the holidays The

ron, with Mrs Howard, were host
and hostesses to a Christmas so-
cial in the lovely new home of
Mrs Bama Meyers in Jacksboro for
the members of O EC. apd tljeir
families, Saturday.
Mr». Meyers home was beauti-
fully decorated, carrying out the
Christmas spirit in each room
Mrs. Lena McGee and Mrs. Irene
l[y>ward led in several games after
which Christmas carols were sung
by the group.
Ray Blake acted as Santa and
pas.-ed out the Christmas gifts
from the decorated tree The
guests then enjoyed games of for-
ty-two and canasta, and at the close
of the social the guests played
several games of Bingo.
The hostess, Mrs. Meyers, and
co-hostess, Mrs. Howard! served
cake and coffee, popcorn balls, and
homemade candy to approximately
25 guests.______

Sunday School Party
C Mrs. T. J. Eddleman was hostess
Thursday afternoon for the Wesley
Sunday ’ School Class Christmas
party at her home on Virginia
Street. The rooms were beautifully
decorated with the Christmas motif
and a decorated tree.
The-program opened with pray-
er by Rev. E. R. Gordon The class
teacher. Mrs. H. F Christopher
gave a Christmas story that was
enjoyed by all. and was followed
with the group singing “Joy To the
World."
Gifts were exchanged from the
tree The class members presented
their teacher with a book, "Wom-
en of the Bible,” and also present-
ed Rev. and Mrs. Gordon with a
gift.
Delicious refreshments were
served to twenty-four members and
three guests. Rev. and Mrs. Gordon
and Nancy Boyd.
James Willis, who is stationed in
Aberdeeen. is visiting his parents,
Mr and Mrs. Eldon Williis during
the holiday season.
