sonalities” was directed by Mrs.
Lew is Pitcock. Jr., who introduced

Mrs. Pitcock presented a sum-
mary of the life of Toyohlko Kag-
awa. a great Japanese Christian
missionary who promoted the
cause of laborers, improved the
slums and introduced ^'Christian-
ity into the rural arras of Japan.
Mrs Ernest Remington describ-
ed tiie cooking and serving of
Japanese fond, and gave an inter-
esting description of the serving
of tea.

Japanese tea brought from Japan

The guests were greeted by Mrs.

Vers Helene. They wore identical

The scooped necklines were out-
lined with large shawl collars,
word draped over the shoulders
and ending in a tic effect on
the bodice.
In the receiving line were Miss
Crawford, her mother, Mrs. R. A
Crawford and 'Mrs. Henry Alvin
Lott, mother of the prospective
groom. Miss Crawford, a petite
brOwnette, was lovely in a fitted
powder blue dress of brocaded
satin and faille. The dress was
fashioned with a short train at-
tached to the deep cut neckline “in
the back in a belted effect with
a large self covered buckle. Mrs.
Crawford wore a full skirted cham-
pagne satin afternoon drcaa and
Mrs. Lott's dress was of navy blue
nyloii lace over navy blue.
Miss Inez .Lott, sister of the fu-
ture groom, registered the guests
in the beautiful white musical
bride's book, which played the
wedding march as the guests reg-
istered. Also on the registration
table was a white milk glass swan
container filled with white mums,
white, grass and white magnolia
leaves accented by red carnations,
carrying out Miss Crawford’s
chosen colors of red and white.
