Man Out of 56 at
5-Week Institute
DALLAS, Oct. 11 (Spl.) —Willard
Paulette of Levelland is one of
the 56 studpts attending a five
week Institute of Insurance Mar-
keting which concludes this week
at Southern Methodist University
Paulette is associated with the
Levelland office of the Great Na-
tional Life Insurance Co.
The Institute, the only one of
its kind in the Southwest, is equi-
valent to a one year course in
marketing. SMU grants 12 hours
credit in the school of Business
Administration for completing the
course which consists of two five
week campus sessions supplement-
ed by field work in the student’s
own community.
Paulette is among the 23 repre-
sentatives from Great National
Life attending the Institute which
will conclude its present session
Oct. 18. Great National Life is the
only firm in the nation which pro-
vides all new agents with this year-
Mrs. Van Hook Stubbs of Wor-
tham, president of the Texas Fed'-
eration of Women’s Clubs, threw
her full support behind the voter’s
roundup. She stressed that the pro-
ject is bi-partisan, and underlined
that getting people to vote is the
object, not how they vote,--.
The Texas Federation or Wom-
en’s Clubs is a non-pdliticakjqrgan-
ization with a membership of over
50,000.
The voter’s roundup is directed
by the federation’s new American-
ism department. Object is to build
interest in our way of life and
government, and to emphasize
full citizenship responsibility.
Clubs participating in the con-
test to Glet-Out-the-Vote are to re-
port by Nov. 15, to district: chair-
men in accordance with contest
rules available at General- Feder-
ation headquarters in Washington.
District chairmen turn in the num-
ber of persons contacted by par-
ticipating clubs and voting to the
state chairman by Nov. 20. Prizes
up to $500, depending on the size
of the club, are offered by GFWC|
for the largest roundup of voters
resulting from club effort^
