Exhibiting the Reserve
Champion Market Swine was
Wortham FFA member Cedriek
Busby and Cody Moore of Teague
received the Showmanship Award.
A total of 66 animals were
exhibited in the show in five
weight divisions ranging Irom 200-
260 pounds.

THE GRAND CHAMPION MARKET HOG at the 1993 Freestone
County Fair was exhibited by Fairfield FFA Member Chris Lehman (top
photo). The animal was purchased by Jim Sanders and Ponte Daniels for
$1,000. The Reserve Champion Market Hog was exhibited by Wortham
FFA member Cedriek Busby (middle photo) and purchased by Free-
stone County Farm Bureau for $750. The Showmanship Award winner
in the Market Hog competition was Teague 4-H Club member Cody
Moore (bottom photo).

information about three tax rates Last year's tax rate is the actual rate the taxing unit used to determine
property taxes last year This year’s effective tax rate would impose the same total taxes as last year if
you compare properties taxed in both years This year's rollback tax rate is the highest tax rate the taxing
unit can set before taxpayers can start tax rollback procedures In each case these rates are found by
dividing the total amount of taxes by the tax base (the total value of taxable property) with adjustments
as required by state law The rates are given pier $ 100 of property value.
