Rudolph, a 1- to 2-year-old heeler mix who was surrendered by his
owner, is very sweet, loves to play fetch and receive belly rubs.
Because of his high level of energy, he would do best in a home with a
large yard and without small children. He also needs to be the only pet
in the home. Rudolph knows some commands. He is treat-motivated
and eager to please, so he will easily adjust to a home’s rules.
Rudolph is fully vetted, microchipped and ready to be adopted for $30.

Four flee apartment after armed robbery
Next week, the Denton GOP
must elect an interim chair to re-
place lisa Hendrickson, who re-
cently resigned as party chair-
woman.
The suspect now faces a new
charge of criminal trespassing in
a habitation, according to the re-
lease. The apartment resident is
cooperating with investigators.
Four people stole money and
drugs from an apartment Tues-
day afternoon while one of them
held the resident at gunpoint,
according to police.
No arrests have been made.
Denton police spokesman
Shane Kizer said the resident
heard knocking at the door at
about 11:45 p.m. at his East Den-
ton apartment in the 2400
block of Old North Road.
He opened the door to see a
female acquaintance and a man,
Kizer said. As he opened the
door to let them both inside, two
more men pushed their way in-
side the apartment behind
them, police said.
One of them pointed a hand-
gun at the resident while others
ransacked the bedroom looking
for money, Kizer said. One took
the resident’s girlfriend’s purse,
he said.
In total, the four people got
away with a jar containing 3
grams of marijuana, a sound
system from the resident’s car
and the purse. Kizer said the
four were inside the apartment
for about 15 minutes.
According to the responding
oflicer’s report, police weren’t
notified until 1:08 p.m., roughly
ment complex, according to a
police report.
The man told officers they
could search his vehicle. He was
eventually taken to Denton City
Jail on the charge.

Carrollton police investigate
shooting at apartment
Carrollton police are investi-
gating a shooting early Wednes-
day morning at the Colonial
Grand at Hebron Apartments in
the 1700 block of East Hebron
Parkway, according to a news re-
lease from the department.
Police said a resident shot a
33-year-old man who entered
his apartment through an un-
locked patio door just before 5
a.m. The man, who was shot in
the chest, was transported to
Medical City Plano in critical
condition.
His current condition is un-
known. Carrollton police said in
the release that their patrol offi-
cers are familiar with the intrud-
er. They’ve contacted him in
similar trespassing situations,
and he’s previously been arrest-
ed on charges of criminal mis-
chief and driving while intoxi-
cated, police said.
