GARDEN CLUB PLANS OTHERS
Approximately 40 persons, in-
cluding eight from out of town,
participated in Olney’s first flower
school and clinic, held last Friday
in the Rotary Building under
sponsorship of the Olney Garden
Club.
Garden Club officials this week,
terming the first such course
“highly successful and enjoyable,”
disclosed that the club hopes to
sponsor similar schools in the fu-
ture.
Seven Graham residents and one
Megargel resident, were among
the group at the Friday school,
conducted by Mrs. Inez Adrian

The morning session was de-
voted to a lecture on design and
color. Mechanical devices such as
needle point holders, plasticine,
etc., were exhibited and their uses
explaind. Short-cuts were demon-

the explanation on the classifica-

into spike, spray and head, and
the uses of each type.
After luncheon, all pupils were
given a basic flower arrangement
