turned in last week to the Aransas
Pam Poboe Department.
On Deo. 21, theft over1200was
reported in the 600 block of S.
Commercial. A tire and ice chest
were removed from a piokup

On Deo. 21, burglary of a vehi-
cle was reported in the 300 block
cfW. Cleveland. A oar battery and
a fuel line were stolen from a
vehicle.
On Deo. 22, possession of a
controlled substance was re-
ported on Highway 1069. A per-
son was arrested for allegedly poe-
■smlngaplastio bag with cocaine.
On Deo. 23, theft over 120, but
under #200 was reported on
Highway 361. An aluminum skiff
was stolen and later recovered.
No charges were filed.
On Deo. 28, burglary of a
habitation was reported in the
300 block of S. Saunders. After
forcing the front door open,
thieves stole an answering
machine, a telephone, a CD play-
er, a bike and a number of CDs.

Thomas Dunn, 92, of Rockport
died Saturday, Dec. 26, in an
Aransas Pass hospital.
Dunn was born Dec. 19,1900in
Ireland. He was an Air Force
veteran and retired after 30 years
of service. He had been a resident
of Chiekasha, Oklahoma prior to
moving to Rockport 18 months

Survivors include a son Tho-
mas Dunn and his wife Rosalee of
Rockport; a step-daughter, Daryl
Wilson of Steigler, Oklahoma; a
step-son, Jack Toole of Van-
couver; eight grandchildren; and
eight great-grandchildren.

pital.
Mrs. French was born June 2,
1921 in Mount Vernon, Missouri.

for about 15 yean and was the
hostess for the Crab Inn for many
yean. She was a Baptist.

dence in Aransas Pass.
Mrs. Green was born May 25,
1906 in Port Aransas. She was a
member of the First Baptist
Church.
Survivors include three sisters,
Marilyn Menard and Flora
Hudon, both of Aransas Pass, and
Evelyn McGee of Houston; a
brother, T J. Mathiaen of Aransas
Paaa; and numerous nieces and
nephews.
Graveside services will be held
tomorrow at 2 p.m. at Prairie
View Cemetery.

KELLY
Werner A. Kelly, 90, died Mon-
day at his residence.
Kelly was born July 24,1902 in
Fayette County. He was a veteran
of World War II, serving in the
U.S. Army. He was a retired laun-
dry and dry cleaner owner and
owned Travla Laundry and
Cleaners in San Antonio where
he resided from 1943 to 1972. He
had been a resident of Aransas
Pass since 1972.
Survivors include two nieoes,
Kathleen Latourneau of Kansas
City, Missouri and Nancy Shep-
pard of Globe, Arisons; and a
nephew, Michael Feeney of Kan-
sas City, Mlasiouri.
Memorial services will be held
at 10 a.m. tomorrow at Charlie
Marshall Funeral Home Chapel.

Juan Morales, 89, died Satur-
day, Dec. 26, in a local hospital.
Morales was born May 6,1903
in Webb City. He was a farm and
ranch laborer and had been aresi-
dent of Aransas Paaa since 1987.
He was a Catholic.
Survivors include three daugh-
ters, Socorro Lopes of Aransas
Pass, Felicitaa Brannan of Falcon
Heights, and Maria Alicia Garda
of Chicago, Illinois; s sister, Ange-
lita Mendosa of Laredo; s brother,
Vicente Morales of Plain view; 15
grandchildren; and four great-
grandchildren.
Graveside servtoes were held at
10 a.m. Tuesday at Prairie View
Cemetery with Rev. Wayne Vols
officiating.

In Russell villa, Arkansas. Ha
graduated from the University of
Mtohjgsn with a degree in cMl
engineering and was a civil en-
gineer for the Texas Department
of Highways for 42 yean. Ha re-
tired as Fayette County engineer
before moving to Rockport in
1965. He was in charge of the
surveying for the first Copano
Bridge in the early 1920s. He was
s captain in the U.8. Army during
World War II.
Patrick was preceded in death
by a sister, Catherine Pitts in
November 1992.
Survivors include his wife,
Mary Pearl Patrick of Rockport;
daughter, Margaret Eiband of
Houston; son, William L. Patrick,
Jr. of Houston; sister, Margaret
Erie Patrick of Springdale, Arkan-
sas; three grandchildren; and five
great-grandchildren.
Funeral servtoes were held at
noon Saturday at St. Peter’s Epis-
copal Church in Rockport with
Rev. Walter Clark officiating. Bu-
rial followed in Rockport
Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Janies C. Her-
ring, David M. Herring, Joseph S.
Herring, John M. Eiband, Jr., Kirk
K. Gentle, and Joseph Bybee.

to Rockport in 1964. He was a
retired electrician and pilot and
was a member of IBEW Interna-
tional Brotherhood of Electrical
Workers, Local 278 of Corpus
Christ!. He waa preceded In death
by a daughter, Thelma Preaoott in
1987.
Survivors include his wife,
Mary Smith of Rockport; two
of Corpus Christ!; two sons,
Frank H.' Smith, Jr. of Athens and
Doyen C. 8mith of Las V^e,

Richard Ray “Ricky” Rowland,
28, died Tuesday, Dec. 22, in
Aransas Pass after a car-
pedistrian accident.
Rowland was bom March 18,
1964 in Kountes and had been s
resident of Aransas Pass since
1972. He played on Roger Hill’s
tennis team for four yean, gra-
duating from Aransas Pass High
School in 1983. Three yean ago
he won first place in singles in the
Texas Parks Tournament held in
Corpus Christi. He owned and
operated Rowland Feed Store.
Survivors include his parents,
Dannie and Margie Rowland of
Aransas Pass; three sisters, Be-
verly Rowland of Dallas, Mary
Ann Nugent and Linda Angel
Rowland, both of Indiana; three
borthers, Daniel Rowland of Cor-
pus Christ!, R. Lee Rowland of
Aransas Pass, and Lonnie Paul
Rowland of Indiana; numerous
nieoes and nephews.
Rosary was recited at 7 p.m.
Friday at the Charlie Marshall
Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral
Mam waa celebrated at 2 p.m.
Baturday at St. Mary’s Star of the
See Catholto Church. Burial fol-
lowed in Aranaas Memorial Park.
