Catarrh
la frequently an indication of a Scrofulous
taint in the system. Ayer’s Sarsaparilla
purifies the blood, and thus restores health
to the affected membranes. It also stops
the nauseous catarrhal discharges, and
prevents the infection from reaching the
lungs and stomach. Catarrh should be
treated as a blood disease.
I suffered for years from chronic
Catarrh. My appetite was very poor, and
I felt miserably. None of the remedies I
took afforded me any relief until I com-
menced using Ayer’s Sarsaparilla, of
which I have now taken five bottles.
The catarrh has disappeared, and I am
growing strong and stout; my appetite
has returned, and my health is fully re-
stored—Susan L. W. Cook, 909 Albany st.,
Boston Highlands, Mass.
Ayer’s Sarsaparilla,
Prepared by Dr. J. C. Ayer & Co., Lowell, Maas.
Bold by all Druggists. Price $1; six bottles, $5.

As announced the funeral of Henry Mil-

hearts. The pall-bearers were Mayor

the cemetery. First came the immediate
relatives of the deceased, then his fellow

Geo. Gilmore and wife celebrated their
tenth, or tin wedding anniversary, at
their residence on M, between Twenty-
eight and Twenty-ninth streets. Ten
years ago there was a double wedding,
George Gilmore and Richard Gray play-
ing first parts, and Richard and his wife
were present, and so it was a duuble tin
wedding Tuesday evening. There were
many appropriate presents, and the at-
tendance of friends was large. It was an
event in colored society, as it was the
first occasion of the kind celebrated by
the colored people.
